Transport

AirTrain

If you flying into Brisbane, and not hiring a car at the airport, the fastest and most efficient means of transport to getting to downtown Brisbane and the Pullman Hotel is the AirTrain. There's a station outside both the Domestic and International terminals, and tickets can be bought at the AirTrain kiosk in the airport, otherwise at a station. You can also purchase AirTrain tickets in advance online, however return tickets to the airport must be purchased from the actual station you are departing from. It goes directly to downtown, stopping in five locations. The station most convenient for the Pullman Hotel is Central Station.

If you print and present this AirTrain letter at the station you'll receive a discount.

There are numerous hire car companies located inside Brisbane Airport, however parking is not always easily accessible closer to the city so public transport is definitely recommended.

Public Transport and Parking in Brisbane

If you plan to catch public transport in Brisbane, you will need to purchase a travel card, known as a go card, for a refundable price of $10 plus whatever price you wish to top up onto it. Travelling with go card is easy - simply touch on at the beginning of your journey and touch off at the end. Your fare is automatically deducted from your card balance. You can transfer easily across bus, train, and ferry services. Fortunately, most of the places of interest are well within walking distance of the PyCon location. There has been a letter arranged for you to collect a go card from the Airport train station, alternatively you can grab over 580 locations, including many Queensland Rail and G:link stations, some busway stations, selected newsagents and 7-Eleven stores where you see the 'buy' symbol.

Public parking is usually charged by the hour around the clock in covered car parks, or from the hours of 7am - 9am and 4pm - 7pm in most street parking (check the signs when you park).
